Beginner'sSeries- #9 Onion Utthapa

In this Beginner's Series video I am trying to help you learn how to make one of the most simplest breakfast recipe. If you are new to cooking or want to learn some easy to cook simple food for breakfast, try making this Onion Utthapa.

Ingredients:
Dosa masala ( Batter) - 1 cup
Namak ( Salt) - 1 Tsp or as per taste
Hari Mirch ( Green Chillies) - 1 medium 
Pyaaz ( Onion) - 1/2 medium size 
Jeera ( Cummin Seeds) - 1 Tspn
Tel ( Cooking oil) - To grease the pan

Preparation time: 6-8 minutes
Cooking time : 4-6 minutes per Utthapa
Serves - One person

1. Fine chop green chillies and onion. 
2. In a bowl take Dosa batter and add salt, chopped green chillies, onion and mix them all well.
3. Heat frying pan over gas on medium flame.
5. When the pan is hot grease it with cooking oil, and then pour out batter from the liddle onto the pan and spread out the batter carefully to give it a round shape.
6. Cover it with a lid and cook for about 4-6 minutes, and when you notice that the air pockets have formed with the help of flat spatula flip the dosa.
7. Let it cook for about 2- 3 minutes and take it off the pan onto the serving plate.
8. Repeat the same for rest of the mixture.
9. Serve hot with green chutney/ cocount chutney or tomato suace/ ketchup.
